Dyersburg Regional Medical Center's Surgery Department is located on the second floor of the hospital in a new wing which was completed in 1998. The department has five operating room suites and offers surgical services 24 hours a day to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients on an inpatient, outpatient, and emergency basis.

Surgical procedures we offer include: general, gynecological, genito-urinary, ophthalmology, vascular, podiatry, oral, dental, orthopedics, plastic, endoscopes, and otolaryngology. No cardiac or neurological procedures are performed, and cesarean sections are performed in labor and delivery with the surgery department's staff assisting.

The Surgery Department also includes the gastrointestinal diagnostic laboratory and a 24-bed ambulatory surgery service designed for surgical procedures which require the use of the hospital's operating suites. This service is limited to patients who can undergo a surgical procedure without the need of a lengthy stay in the hospital.
